To nap or not to nap that is the question

Oh dear saints per service this learning never ends now does it. Once you get comfortable with one schedule your child up and changes and you must start all over again. And let's not even get started on figuring out the differences from one child to another!

Korlen, now 3, is going to be the death of me. Honestly the day he turned 3 my life changed! He instantly turned into a very defiant child! What is with this sudden challenge in/with authority! One day he was the most obedient child that I actually barged about the next he woke up, was officially 3, and is a different person lol!

With that said let turn to the issue at hand! NAPS! I mean really does it have to be so complicated. Here are my options. No naps means I don't get to nap either and I have to spend the entire day with him ( I'm sure that makes me sound like a terrible person but honestly every waking moment with one person let a lone a toddler that only wants to push my buttons is a little more then I can swallow at tis current point in my life) also if he doesn't have a nap he starts whining/ crying around 5:30 pm and doesn't stop till he's asleep! After spending the whole day with him fallowing me around anyways him now crying non stop for every little thing especially the fact that I'm not holding him puts me over the top. Only upside. He goes to bed early and when I put him down he stays there. Let now examine the other end of the spectrum and my only other option.
Nap time: he's really good when I put him down to stay in his bed and goes I sleep for maybe an hr. oh and sweet serenity! That he is just what I need to get through my day! Both he and Tahlae sleep at the same time so awesome for me I get a little me time! SO WORTH IT! Till night fall! We put him to bed around 8:30 usually closer to 9 and an hr and a half later at 10 when we're going to bed we have already put him back in his bed 4 times, taken him potty once, gotten him a drink, sang him 3 songs, and are about to loose our minds! And he's still not asleep! Granted this doesn't happen every single day! But man alive I'm about to loose it!
Is it honestly too much to ask for an hr during the day to just be me and just "do me" and an hr at night to have a little adult time with my husband! I'm not even asking in a sexual way but a way in which I can start and finish a conversation with him in which I don't have to be stopped 4 times to attend to kids! Sheesh!
So this is my temporary solution test sequence. I shall nap this little stinker every other day and hopefully this shall solve my present dilemma! I will keep you posted! Pray for me and pray for kor but mostly pray for me!

BAHAHAHA so i havent posted in exactly 2years and 8days! wow I SUCK !! hope there are still ppl out there that care! life just got a little crazy! so here are the last 2 years in a nut shell!

i got pregnant ... which if you know me well enough that kinda sums up about 4 months... its the same story really.. i wake up i puke i puke again and again.. about 30 times i go to sleep.. i cry and cry because i feel like such a bad mommy... korlen would beg me to get up off the couch and get him a snack and it was seriously so hard! He really learned how to fend for himself... lol times like these made me wish for family around to be at my beck and call!! seriously thoug! but we made it though.. i have an amazing husband that brought me breakfast in bed EVERY SINGLE DAY for the enitre pregnancy! what a life saver! I also had a lot better drugs this time! you know the kind they give to sick cancer patients of cemo! yup yup i took that and another drug every 3 hrs like clock work! serious drug addict... let alont that one pill cost $12.... A PILL !! sheesh ! I also had a standing order at the I.V. clinit to go get pumped full of fluids which i did requently!.. but life went on! i got feeling a lot better as long as i ate and took drugs.. i ended up in the end few months not throwing up at all!

But the time comes in everyones pregnancy that your done! the done done that makes you do crazy things. so i took caster oil.. walked almost 2 miles jogged up and down my stairs, cleaned my kitchen top to bottom scrubbing and scrubbing, did tie boe workout, lorenzo massaged the presure point that are supposed to put you into labor... and some other recreations that are supposed to put you into labor ;) hehe... and then i started bleeding! like gushing blood! so scary! went to the hospital and after sitting there about 5 hrs i my water broke i got and eppi and was in full labor... i went from a 5 to a 10 in less then 30 min and pushed 3 times! it was AWESOME! And It was Supper bowl Sunday LOL gotta love a football baby! but as i told you before i was gushing blood and it didnt stop! for 2 hrs after the baby was born it didnt stop! I was bleeding to death on the delivery table! i told lorenzo to make sure that little baby knew how much i loved him and to make sure Korlen never forgot what kind of mommy i was and that i loved him so much as well!

But Prayers are andswered and i pulled through! What a blessing! Korlen Loves his little brother! He has never shown any signs of jealousy at all just loVe! and what a blessing that is! he is seriously the best Big Brother this Little guy to ask for !

after a day of deciding we named him Tahlae Budd

we had a really fun summer playing outside a lot and going on vaca to vegas.. it was a fun year! we had a great christmas in Idaho... the boys had a lot of fun playing with cousin lilly! And as always they got really really spoiled!! just before christmas I partnered in opening a dance fitness gym called Sweat! i think it has a lot of potential.. if only we could get ppl in the door! our life has been busy and crazy and fun and exciting and stressful and rediculous and loud and ....... LIFE!! I just hope to be a little better at being on here and making more accessible to live it with us! Love you all

So i really cant believe my little baby is a year old. hes such a sweet smart little boy... it just seems like hes been getting bigger and older since the day he was born! and hes only going to get bigger from here!

oh christmas christmas we wait all year for you and then you sneak up on us and are gone too soon again!! how i love christmas.... this year we decided to have a all homemade christmas which i think went amazing....!! it helps that im married to such an amazing craftman! it almost felt like cheating lol... and i did cheat because i bought lorenzo a guitar and didnt make him something but it was on ebay and only cost 30 bucks so i felt it was still appropriate!! i really think we were all able to feel the spirit of christ a little more in our christmas too because we had to work so hard on all of our gifts and really show our love for the person we made it for... it really made a difference in trying to keep christ the center of our christmas holiday! anyways lorenzo made korlen a lawn mower because we got tired of him pushing everything around like our kitchen chairs... i made korlen a little wooden tool box with some tools ... fun fun.... lorenzo also made my mom a mantle and emily a rolling pin to go with my recipe box i made for her and he made austin a set of drum sticks... hes so cute i love him... we had such an amazing time too. korlen is just at the right age where his first christmas was really fun... he took it upon himself to help EVERYONE open their gifts esspecially lilly and showed her how to play with her toys lol

so this was korlens first halloween and i think we had more fun then him... he doesnt really understand yet. he just turned 9 months old this last week and is walking .... mostly lol... he is just so cute ... he loves to help with everything which as you know isnt always so helpful lol but thats ok..... anyways he wanted so bad to help daddy with gutting the pumpkins... it was just oh so fun to play with the bright orange mushy insides!!

...so basically korlen is the cutest little lion i have ever seen.... he was so cute thanks to his nonna who got him the costume.... he didnt love the hood but did good anyways and he loved the one peice of candy he got to taste... a sucker and that didnt last long... mush to his dismay!! sweet little angle baby!

Its always so nice to get to go home and see my mommy and family... my mom just loves being korlens favorite... he'll even cry for her while im holding him lol... crazy kid.... heres a few things we did..

korlen is deffinetly an all american boy.. he love love loves anything thats not supposed to be a toy. our laptop, my cell phone, the remote any cord or peice of paper he can get his hand on. lorenzo decided we shouldnt buy him anymore toys since his favorite thing to play with is an empty 2ltr bottle and a box.. oh ya and the door stops cuz when he pulls on them they bounce back and back that doing noise lol. anyways by far his all time favorite toy is his daddy and he loves anything his daddy does. this however gets some real big smiles and laughs anytime anywhere! i think hes interested in football! hopefully he'll be on the other end of the tackle when he gets bigger though.

well my little angle face turned 6 months old yesterday... and as a present to his mommy and daddy mastered the art of crawling and is getting a tooth!! he is so cute and gets into everything.. he absolutely loves loves LOVES the camera and whenever its out he chases it around. lol sounds like a few stories i've been told about myself lol.. here are a few videos and photos to see what i've gotten myself into!

and as another added bonus hes learned how to pull himself up so we already have to move his crib down to a lower level!! ahhh! it scared me when i found him playing like this!

yup im in trouble lol i started out with a mover and a shacker and its just kept on a goin!! i cant believe how active this child is already!!

as if getting up with my little angle two to three times a night isn't bad enough he has some internal clock that is set for 30 min.... thats it 30 i cant for the life of me get him to nap longer ... sometimes even when i hold him he still is only asleep for that long... and the process of getting him asleep is such a challenge... i often wonder if i was this difficult.. i thought babies are supposed to sleep a lot .. and at 5 months they are supposed to be getting an average of 15 hrs of sleep a day..... we're not even close!! im so exhausted... its not that i want to nap all the time but for crying in the night.... i didnt know i was gunna have such a little busy body... he can be completely asleep have his eyes closed and still be yelling at me for putting him to sleep. and i dont have the heart or tough enough skin yet to let him just cry it out!! ahhh! this can be so complicated! i remember when he was first born and lorenzo and i would often times want to wake him up to play with him... how i wish i could turn back time a little bit... cant help but feel like im doing something wrong and thats why hes not getting the rest we BOTH need him too.. i honestly think im gunna pull out my hair.. is it ok if i give him a sleeping aid.... like Tylenol pm.... well this is a little more drastic maybe i should go straight to the ambien!!! im just waiting for the day when lorenzo comes home and im curled up in the fetal position hiding in my closet rocking back and forth while hugging my legs and humming to myself.. i truly night go mad!!

Amid the crying and fussing and screaming and slobber the feedings and burping and feeding some more after the fifth time you've tried for a nap in the last hour and the diapers and diapers and diapers galore then more crying and fussing and screaming to the point you think your gunna loose control and just break down and cry right along with them.... God grants us one of those precious moments that make us fall more in love remember why we go through all the trouble in the first place and one more reason to keep it all together and do it all over again another day!!! or just later in the same one!! hahahaha

i finally got to go home to hold lilly for the first time!! i was so excited! she is such a little miracle baby.... i just cant believe how perfect her little fingers and toes.... and korlen was so happy to see his nonna and uncle austin!!

it was the first time korlen got to see his cousin lillian and he thought that little noise maker was really interesting!!

keeping in mind that they are only two months apart their size difference is crazy!! she makes my little boy look like a toddler!!!

while there we decided to play a little dress up with some of lillys hair accessories! you can tell he knows that this is wrong! his daddy wasnt very impressed.

well korlen is now two months old and as cute as ever. hes just a little doll with such a cute personality already. unfortunately he started acting like he is starting to teeth!! man that would such.. hes a good sleeper and eater and pooper.. he loves taking baths. the other night he was taking a bath with me and we were about done just waiting for daddy to come get him... well korlen gave me that oh so familiar smirk and grunt. i, knowing what was coming yelled for renzo to hurry... but alas the boy was too fast and the dad was too slow..... SHOCKER!! grunt and push and poo all over me... hes still in that runny yellow orange poo stage that quickly encircled me lol. i luckily was able to lift korlen out of the water in time. my bath however was followed by a shower!! lol little boys ...

thats not the greatest of my troubles though.. korlen is a little tyke. hes long and skinny making dressing him close to impossible.. his newborn clothes are getting a bit too tight on him.. but hes so far away from fitting in 0-3 month clothes. either they are too wide but not long enough or they are too long and not wide enough... so i dont know whats gunna happen first he'll get too long or fat to fit in anything. poor miss shaped baby..

well i'm sure all mothers can agree that you'll never forget that first look at the precious innocent life that just entered the world... it was late in the evening on jan 26 when that last push and pull brought my bundle of joy into the world... it was the most amazing and yet creepy thing i've ever seen and felt... they set him on my chest i clapped my hands and squealed for joy... they wiped him off... see coming into this would scared the poop out of him... but i dont blame him lol!! i knew right away that my life would be changed forever! my family was complete!!

Lorenzo and I had decided on two names ... Trey Alexander or Austin Mekhi..... but when we took a look at this little boy neither fit.... and from the second he was born we never had a moment alone to talk about to name him... i didnt want to talk about it when other people were around because everyone had their own opinion... just like bum wholes!!! most of them stink!! lol ok so thats kinda icky so lets move on.... it was the night before we were gunna get checked out and still no name had been decided. in my opinion this was the hardest and most important thing i had ever done, i didnt want to just pick some random name.. names have meaning and are so important and with parents with names like ours you know he had a lot to live up to which put a lot of pressure on us.... it was probably around 2 in the morning and i was frantic and on the verge of tears thinking i was a horrible mother because i couldnt decide.. the hospital nurses even brought us name books but how common is that... reluctantly i started reading one of them and it talked about creating names from other words or names... i had lorenzo read it and after a lot of really weird jumbles lorenzo came up with KORLEN!! after i said it a few times i knew it was it.. lorenzo scrambled the letters from both of our names and thats what he got!! oh yes and his middle name (A) stand for our brothers austin and alexander.. we could pick just one...

so now that we decided its time to make his name known throughout the records of the church right!! it was a great day.. great grandpa wade made his little tux. great grandma wade made his blessing blanket. and great aunt nancy jean made his little booties... lorenzo did an amazing job and it was so special to me to hear him bless our son. him being adorable and the cookies that fallowed was nice too.. just not as spiritual...
